PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (AHI) was founded in 1995 by PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera and opened its first store in 1996 in Karawaci, Tangerang, West Java. Currently, AHI has been recognized as a leading company in home improvement and lifestyle retail sector in Indonesia. AHI operates a modern store network providing quality products for more than two decades. Today, the Company has developed its network into 129 retail stores in 34 major cities in Indonesia. AHI has been known as a one-stop shopping that provides quality home improvement and lifestyle products, as the result of integrated operation of procurement and selling to loyal customers. Through offering various good quality yet affordable products, AHI continuesto improve the business efficiency from procurement and warehousing to distribution and marketing. Thus, the Company can add value to the products through value-for-money pricing. The integrated business management has made the Company not only as ‘The Helpful Place’, but also as ‘the valuable place’ for the customers and any other stakeholders. Our commitment in delivering the best is realized by offering quality products and also through store openings. Until the end of 2016, the Company has 129 Ace Hardware stores with a total area of more than 336 thousand sqm, scattered in 34 cities in Indonesia. The flagship store, namely Ace Living World Mall, Alam Sutera, Banten, with an area of 15,000 sqm, was even received two awards, i.e. as “The Biggest Lifestyle and Home Improvement Store” from Museum Rekor Indonesia (MURI) and as “The Largest Ace Store on Earth” from Ace Hardware Corporation, USA, both in the year 2011. Since 6th November 2007, AHI has become a listed company in IDX with the stock code of ‘ACES’, offering 30% Company’s share to the public through the mechanism of Initial Public Offering. Currently the Company’s free float shares reaches 40%. The Companyalso strived to increase its trading liquidity and expanded its shares ownership through stock split by a ratio of 1:10 on 1st November 2012. Following stock market drops in 2013 and 2015, Government encouraged that listed companies participated in the buyback program. AHI also joined the program. Currently there are 81 million treasury shares held with a value of Rp54.1 billion. TOYS KINGDOM In the development of modern and dynamic lifestyle, toys products are becoming a necessity to help developing children’s character in their growth period. This factor becomes one of main considerations for AHI to grab market opportunity in this sector. On 4th June 2010, AHI officially opened the first store of “Toys Kingdom”, a toys store with a unique concept based on customer’s total shopping experience and satisfaction. Under the management of PT Toys Games Indonesia, Toys Kingdom is growing as one of major players in modern toys retail sector in Indonesia and continues to expand and operate 26 stores in 11 major cities of Indonesia, including in Sumatera, Java, and Sulawesi. In general, Toys Kingdom is located near Ace Hardware store so they will be a complete shopping destination for families. The unique concept of Toys Kingdom is the atmosphere of “fun and smiles” that differentiates it with other competitors. This is due to service presented by the skillful, friendly and professional staffs, store decoration, reachable product placement, and special dance choreography played every hour. In addition to learning, the children can also sing along with the songs played in the store. The ideal ambiance for a toys store with fun, full of joy, and imaginative while playing in Toys Kingdom becomes more attached with the slogan of “Creating Smiles”. In addition to providing toys for children as the major market share, Toys Kingdom also offers a range of products for collectibles, family games, even products for babies, both local and global branded products. To make shopping experience easier for Customers, Toys Kingdom can be visited virtually through its official site at www.toyskingdom.co.id as well as thourgh “ruparupa.com”. “RUPARUPA” SHOP ONLINE The community’s dynamic behavior in shopping is now changing and more diverse. Easy access to information and rapid technology development are contributing to the creation of a new shopping phenomenon that is practical, fast, and secure way. Business plan of The Omni-channel experience that distinguishes us from other e-commerce sites is ready to be launched and introduced to the market. That is why Kawan Lama Group has launched e-commerce subsidiary with the name of “ruparupa” (www.ruparupa.com) on 25thApril 2016. With 30% share ownership, the Company launches “ruparupa.com” as a new destination choice to shop for Ruppers (customer’s designation of “ruparupa. com”). It is expected that the site could be another solution for customers anywhere who want to shop products from Ace Hardware, Informa Furnishings, Toys Kingdom, Office 1, and other Group products although the brand is not yet available in their city. In summary, ruparupa.com provides The Omni-channel experience that allows customers to order online and pick up in store, having same promotion offered online and offline with online exclusive items, and same level of customer service. Currently, more than 25,000 products are available in 10 categories, such as Home Appliances, Minimalist Kitchen, Bed & Bath, Home Improvement, Furniture, Automotive, Hobbies & Lifestyle, Health & Sport, Electronic & Gadget, also Toys & Babies. Hundreds of new products will continue to be added as well each day, with the online price the same as offered in physical store. Customers those who have Ace Hardware Rewards membership will also benefit more when shopping at ruparupa.com. They can redeem points to get vouchersfor shopping at ruparupa.com. As many as 32 STOPS (Store Pick up Service) have also been launched at various Ace Hardware or Toys Kingdom stores. This service is provided to facilitate customers who buy online and want to pick up the goods on a desired store.
